Forests & Plains
Rediscover Africa through the eyes of those who wander its vast and vibrant landscapes
PROJECT BRIEF
Our Forests and Plains Project is dedicated to preserving Africa’s diverse terrestrial ecosystems, from dense rainforests to expansive savannas. These regions are crucial to Africa’s environmental health and cultural heritage, providing habitats for countless species, many of which are unique to the continent, and supporting the livelihoods of local communities. This project focuses on mitigating threats such as deforestation, land degradation, and poaching through sustainable conservation practices and research. By collaborating with local communities, conservationists, and policymakers, we strive to safeguard these landscapes and the biodiversity they hold, fostering resilience in the face of climate change and habitat loss.
Beyond conservation, this project emphasizes community empowerment and environmental stewardship, encouraging sustainable land-use practices that benefit both people and nature. We aim to educate and involve local communities in land restoration and forest management, providing tools and training that enable them to protect and sustainably use their natural resources. By promoting eco-friendly initiatives such as sustainable agriculture and eco-tourism, we are helping communities develop alternative income sources that align with conservation goals. Together, we work toward a future where Africa’s forests and plains continue to thrive, serving as a legacy of natural wealth for generations to come.
